Collegiate-level election coverage proves to be a success.
On Tuesday, November 6th 2012, Michigan State
University’s School of Journalism hosted “MI First Election” in basement Studio
D of the College of Communication Arts and Science Building.
Numbers of MSU students, faculty and alums gathered together
to cover the news surrounding the presidential election “Spartan style.”
MI First Election participants created and analyzed political
polls, managed social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook and put their
journalistic skills to use by capturing the event via photojournalism and
broadcast.
